Our Blending Plant Facility
To meet Nigeria’s growing demand for lubricants, Mainland Oil and Gas has established a state-of-the-art Lube Oil Blending Plant (LOBP) located in Owaza, Abia State. The facility is designed with a base oil tank farm that can hold over 500,000 liters, advanced blending kettles, and finished product tanks for large-scale production, as well as both fully automated and semi-automated filling systems. It also houses a comprehensive quality control laboratory that ensures every product meets and surpasses Nigerian Industrial Standards. With a design blending capacity of 65,000 liters per day, the plant has the potential to produce up to 39 million liters annually, making it a major contributor to Nigeria’s lubricant market.
Safety, Health, and Environment
Safety is at the heart of our operations. The facility is equipped with firewater tanks and hydrant systems, as well as strategically placed fire extinguishers, to enhance emergency preparedness. Regular safety drills and continuous staff training ensure our team is always ready to respond effectively to potential incidents. We also prioritize the environment, with systems in place for responsible effluent handling and spill control to protect the surrounding ecosystem.

Beyond this, we provide value-added services such as spent oil analysis and preventive maintenance programs, helping customers get the best performance from our products. Looking ahead, we are also exploring export opportunities within West Africa, positioning Mainland Oil and Gas as a key regional player.
