DR. CHRIS ODINAKA IGWE (OFR)

Chris Igwe, CEO of Mainland Oil & Gas Co. Ltd and Group Chairman of Chrisnak Group, has over 28 years of business experience. He built the Chrisnak conglomerate from scratch, guided by early mentorship. With degrees in Business and Public Administration from Federal Polytechnic, Oko, and Lagos State University, Igwe also studied at Lagos Business School and Harvard.

His achievements include awards such as the Okegii Abia title, the Award for Positive Contribution to the downstream oil & gas sector by OTL Africa, Fellow of the Nigeria Shippers Council, Fellow of the Freight Forwarders Academy of Nigeria, the KEYMAN Award by the Enugu State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, and The Sun Newspapers’ Investor of the Year 2020.

In 2022, President Buhari honored him with the National Merit Award (OFR). He serves as a trustee of ANLCA, Financial Secretary of DAPPMAN, and is a Knight of the Order of John Wesley. Igwe is married to Mrs. Peace Ogechukwu Igwe, and they have five children.
